Is it just me, or do mammals have a much more limited palette of colors than other animals? Most other animal groups (invertebrates, amphibians, birds, reptiles, etc.) come in all colors, including purple, blue, bright red, and green, but mammal hair is either gray, blonde, some shade of brown or reddish brown, or black. We're a relatively drab-colored class.
My parents and I went over there to see the Walking with Dinosaurs Live show hosted at one of the loca stadiums. It was very impressive; seeing those animatronic dinosaurs move is the closest thing I'll probably ever come to seeing a living, moving non-avian dinosaur---unless they really do find dinosaur DNA to clone.
What the hell, I still have a little hope that dinosaurs will be cloned someday. They found T. Rex soft tissue, didn't they? So far DNA has not been reported, but perhaps they aren't searching hard enough.
When I first learned this, my immediate reaction was shock and horror, with a bit of sadness mixed in. It appears that there will never be an Age of Empires IV now.
